Purchased a Heatsink with a fan to get ready for the tablet. Will make some brackets to hold this into place, Also bought some thermal paste for it.
Also did some research today about reflective heat material. Still deciding what to get and use
Did some thinking and wonder if I should still break the unit back open to solder a external button and also solder power to circuit board due to the depth issue at the bottom of the housing there isnt much more room for plugs sticking out even if I drill holes for the connectors, AC power and the MicroUSB for the USB Host(and Charging if it can do both at the same time)
I do cool things with cars and I am here to share them.... Here to share, show, help and inspire others.

Software Booting and Tethering to and for TABLET in Automobile
One big issue with the tablet was the power button. and where i would have to put the power button. From the research I have done over the last couple of day I think I have learned that this unit actually powers up as soon as its plugged into a charger. So if this is the case, this would be great and awesome for my situation. I would not have to worry about opening up the tablet to solder onto the circuit board to get a external switch somewhere and also have to worry about where to put the switch. The unit can do this due to it running a rk3066 chip and that is how the motherboards act for this chipset.
The tablet will now automatically reboot if the battery dies if the car sits too long. The tablet can be programmed to leave screen on at all times when powered up in the settings and timeout when charger unplugged to set interval times, say for example 1 minute after the power cuts off.
I am also thinking I could possibly try to rig a switch that triggers a relay to take power off ACC for the tablet when it folds down or gives power to tablet when it folds up, in the factory motorized navigation housing of the IS300. I will have to put the tablet housing together and see how it moves and where i button could be place to create the function I am looking for.
Tethering from phone also I would like to get it to kick on automatically. Currently I need a Tasker or Profiler on the phone to do the job. I have not found a application that has done it successfully yet without hiccups. There is two ways to tether data to the tablet from the phone. One will be obviously wifi tether, which I would rather use and has the hiccups currently. The other is through bluetooth tethering, which is working great but the difference between the two is the transfer rate of bluetooth tethering will not be as fast as wifi. Advantage of bluetooth tether, less battery usage.
Another thing to look at that I could use to turn tethering on is a NFC sticker, which would work great but the biggest issue with this is that it will not be fully automated as I would have to place my phone near the NFC, obviously having to take it out of my pocket to do so. Would like to devise a system that allows me to do all this without pulling the phone out.

The start of Android Tablet in IS300 motorized housing
LIST OF ITEMS
JDM/USDM housing w/ 7" plastic
Tablet (Hyundai Hold x700) dimensions perfectly fit
micro usb to OTG host
Beat Sonic Momentary Operation Only (CSM1) CS Invisible Touch Switch
OBD2 Bluetooth Dongle
ISSUES / PROBLEMATIC
with heat for Li-ion battery,
need to radiate heat away from the housing. thinking aluminum insulation for roofing of homes
also maybe a heatsink mounted with a fan on the back of the tablet
Unit needs to power on hopefully but just putting power to unit. if it works great, if it doesnt. will need to open tablet up and find button points and solder onto it and have external button w/ flush flat mounted button or use Beat Sonic hidden stealth button
The audio will hopefully go through bluetooth, if not also open up tablet and solder onto headphone points on circuit board.
Have purchased a jdm motorized housing 5"
Also purchased all brand new plastic due to obvious size differences and blemishes
7" USDM housing,
some of the new pieces have scratches on it. Not good =(
purchased a cheap $60 tablet that seemed like to have closes dimensions, Alot of plastic so definitely could of been filed to fit.
allwinner a13 q88 but no bluetooth, hoped to have bluetooth through usb bluetooth dongle but did not recognize unit. the device also needed to be grinded off with plastic and screen resolution wasnt all that
returning it to get a different unit now
continued to do research
